Exhibit A: The Wedding Gown
On the left we have the McQueen gown from his Fall '08 collection and Kinley's bridal gown on the right. Kinley's looks great until you notice the fine construction of the McQueen gown and how much more smoothly the feathers fit the bodice and the skirt. It makes Kinley's looked ragged and overworked.Exhibit B: The Balenciaga Catastrophe

Pictured above is Kinley's construction. A strange creation involving rope and painted fabric. Below is the very peculiar Balenciaga outfit that Jennifer Connelly tried so hard to make work a couple of season ago. If you merge Kinley's two dresses into one. It bears a striking resemblance to the original. And yet, she claimed she'd never seen these.
Maybe, I'm not studying enough, but it seems like Kinley, an aspiring designer, should know a little bit more about fashion trends than an aspiring lawyer.

I agree! But I think the key is to look at her sense of fashion. I think she stopped paying attention to "modern" fashion in the 80s :)
